Lello 4090 Gelato Pro Review

Lello 4090 Gelato Pro QuartThe Lello 4090 Gelato Pro is the perfect ice cream maker for anyone who wants a no-fuss solution to making their own homemade ice cream. The Lello Gelato Pro 4090 is a fully automatic self-contained ice cream maker that can blend and freeze half a gallon (2.1 quarts) of ice cream in as little as 45 minutes. The in-built electric time will let you know when the ice cream mixture is finished, while the transparent lid allows you to check the state of the ice cream while you wait!

Unlike many ice cream makers, the Lello 4090 Gelato Pro Quart ice cream maker doesn’t use any ice, salt or pre-chilled containers – it has it’s own internal freezer to cool the ice cream mixture as it is mixing. In no time you can make not only delicious home made ice cream, but also smooth sorbets, authentic Italian gelato, silky sherbets, fresh frozen yogurts and tasty frozen refreshments. The included recipe book offers many recipes to try out with your friends and family, or use any recipe of your own to find your favorite flavors.

Making several batches of ice cream (or other frozen dessert) is no problem – the in-built freezer can easily handle the continuous use. Either remove the ice cream from the bowl to make the next batch, or keep one or more extra bowls on stand-by and swap them in as each batch finishes.

It’s fair to say that the Lello 4090 Gelato Pro Quart ice cream maker isn’t a cheap machine. But the advantage of the Lello Gelato Pro 4090 is that you don’t need to plan ahead of time to make ice cream (unlike the cheaper machines that require you to pre-freeze the ice cream bucket). It is truly an easy way for a family to have quality homemade ice cream at short notice.

Here’s what one owner had to say about the Lello 4090 Gelato Pro Quart ice cream maker:

D. Rupa “MerlynNY”
For a long time, I’ve had your run of the mill cuisinart ice cream maker with the bowl you had to put in the freezer overnight. I don’t know about other people, but I don’t know 24 hours in advance that I want to make ice cream. So I wound up not using it as much as I would have liked.

After coming into some extra money, I decided to take the plunge and invest some money into a higher end ice cream maker. My Lello Gelato Pro 4090 arrived earlier this week, and came with a nice starter recipe book for ice cream. I decided to go for the most basic recipe so I could get an honest feel for the machine and the ice cream it made. So I went for the age old favorite, Vanilla. To my pleasant surprise the machine was easy to use, and not very loud at all. I set the timer for 60 minutes (keep in mind, my ingredients went into the bucket hot), and simply walked away. When I came back I had a soft-serve type ice cream. I let the machine go a little longer, and it had a very nice consistency.

I really have no complaints about this machine. I like the look of it, the way it operates, the fact that its not overly loud, and the ice cream it makes.
